The 2012 Ford Focus has officially begun arriving to dealerships nationwide. The all new redesigned Ford Focus is far from being a disappointment. It is exactly what all buyers are looking for in a sedan. And for once we get the same car that is being sold in the rest of the world as 80% of the Focus’ content is shared across the globe. Since hitting the lots at Preston Ford Lincoln, customers can’t seem to stop looking at it.
Starting at the low price of $16,995, Ford said it is already receiving orders, with 40% of customers choosing the hatchback model. The Focus competes in what is becoming a growing category. So-called ”C-segment” cars, generally known as compacts in the U.S. Both the Hatchback and sedan models of the Ford Focus have had an extensive exterior make-over. Ford has given the Focus a more bolder, yet sporty/trendy look that the whole family will enjoy. Ford definitely went back to the drawing board for more aerodynamics with a sleek look.
The Focus has been given a 160 horsepower engine that gets upwards to 40 mpg. Currently there are 7 different combinations of the Focus which range from either a sedan model or hatchback model with these trim levels: S, SE, SEL, and Titanium. The Focus ST will be out later this year which gives the driver an engine enhancement of a 247 horse-power twin-turbo engine. Inside the new Focus is packed with high technology and invigorating design. The driver gains grippy seats, excellent door coverings, and with plenty of room all around. Of course it has the Sync system, as well ass the MyFord system and Sony audio, passive keyless entry, rain sensing wipers, a park assist system, and rear camera. The car rides on a new chassis made of high-strength steel and designed with Ford’s Trinity crash structure. The ride and handling of the car is enhanced with electric power steering, dynamic cornering control and a torque vectoring differential.
“I knew the 2012 Ford Focus was going to be a game changer from reading about it” says Chat Todd, Sales Manager of Preston Ford Lincoln, “But reading did the car no justice once it arrived and we got to see it in person, Ford has really created a car that everyone will love.” Preston Ford Lincoln begun receiving the new Focus yesterday and will be adding to their selection this week as more start to come in.

The Lincoln MKX was first introduced in 2006 and has been a popular Lincoln choice since. For the 2011 model year, the crossover has been updated to include a more modern exterior and more standard technology features. Preston Ford Lincoln, a premier Salisbury Ford and Lincoln dealership, is delighted to be able to offer drivers this car at a great price.
The new exterior of the 2011 Lincoln MKX received a broad facelift, including new side fenders, fascia, hood and grille. The old headlights of its predecessor were replaced with bi-functional projector beam headlights. The crossover SUV also received new wheels, the standard being 18-inch or you can choose the optional 20-inch wheels. The design of the rims on the 2011 MKX is also new.
Inside the MKX, Salisbury Ford shoppers will find that the interior is virtually redesigned. The seat design is new, which includes leather trim and a standard tuxedo accent stripe. The dash and door panels are trimmed with real aluminum accent panels. Two different wood accent packages with a choice of Olive Ash or Walnut Swirl trim are also available.
New technology features include MyLincoln Touch that replaces traditional vehicle buttons, knobs and gauges with two 4.2-inch configurable LCD screens in the instrument panel and an 8- inch LCD touch screen in the center stack. These screens are completely customizable and are used either by a simple button click, voice command or touch screen tap. Everything from music and temperature adjustment to navigation is controlled by MyLincoln Touch.
The 2011 Lincoln MKX, available now at Preston Ford Lincoln, has both Intelligent Access with Push Button Start and a factory installed remote start as standard equipment. Adaptive cruise control and Collision Warning with Brake Support are other available features. “I absolutely love the Lincoln MKX,” says Chad Todd of Preston Ford Lincoln, “Lincoln is headed in the right direction, we are proud to offer the #1 Dependable Vehicle by J.D. J.D. Powers recently came out with its annual “Dependability Study” for automakers. For the first time Lincoln has made #1 beating Lexus and Jaguar.
Last Thursday, J.D. Power and Associates unveiled its 2011 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study with a brand that has never been at the top of the list before. Earning the #1 spot in this year’s rankings was Ford Motor Company’s Lincoln brand, which was the first time ever that Lincoln ranked as the most dependable car make. Maryland Lincoln Dealer, Preston Ford Lincoln, shows off Lincoln models for Lincoln buyers to experience.
The Vehicle Dependability Study is calculated by the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles. To gauge this, J.D. Powers surveys original owners of three-year-old vehicles about problems they’ve experienced in their cars over the last three months. There are over 200 problems used in the study, which Lincoln had the lowest with 101 problems out of 100 vehicles. “Out of all the makes and models we get in our service center, we have seen that Lincoln mechanical problems have been steadily declining,” says Skip McCracken, Service Director of Preston Ford Lincoln.
Dependability ranks among the highest requirements when consumers are purchasing a vehicle. With Products like the Lincoln MKX and the fuel-efficient MKZ Hybrid, the Lincoln cars are mixing dependability and innovation. Last September, Alan Mulally, said that they were in the process of revamping the Lincoln product lines to be on par with BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus. Already Lincoln has started to show improvement in innovation and now dependability. “Lincoln is turning the heads of our Delaware and Maryland buyers,” says Chad Todd, Preston Ford Lincoln Sales Manager, “Lincoln already has a great product out there and looking at what is coming out of the pipeline in the next year, the Lincoln image is only going to get better.”
